On Higher, Quest opens up and expresses the importance of faith, specifically during his pursuit of goals and heights previously unreached. To do so, he taps into his youth and upbringing, where his family was heavily connected to the church. As a result, talented producer J. Classic creates a gospel-inspired track infused with hard-knocking drums that perfectly complements Quest's message of balancing spiritual roots and life experiences. This is evident early, as Quest professes "...getting high to escape these lows/Where I been, only the Lord Knows."
